This is the 2nd version of Timberland Shoes that I've bought. Simply a well made, all-around, functional, boot.

The Timberland are pretty comfortable for boots and seem like they're sturdy. They're generally plain, but have a cool texture if you look closer. The boots are a bit larger than sneakers of the same size, but that's normal for boots.

This is a great looking boot, made of mostly very nice materials. I find it to be quite comfortable, and not too heavy, as far as boots go. It's not really a winter boot (no insulation), but I've had no problem wearing them in freezing weather with a good pair of wool socks. I have one major complaint. The material of the sole is incredibly compliant and soft. It's squishy to the touch, and although it makes for comfort and good traction, the stuff wears amazingly fast. After just a week of city walking, the tread was all the way worn down at the heel. I do have a slightly odd stride, but I've never had another shoe wear that fast. Nonetheless, I don't regret buying these boots, but I'm prepared to have them re-soled fairly soon.
